Outstanding advances have been gained in caries prevention, including fluoride applications, development of sugar substitutes, control of intra-oral acid formation. ?Caries Researchí has received international recognition for its contribution to the dissemination of new knowledge in these and related fields. Coverage of human and animal experimental work directs this journal to the investigator, while results of clinical trials with a bearing on treatment and hygiene management are also of value to the practicing dentist.
