人們對結核病(TB)重新燃起的興趣加快了結核病研究的步伐。結核病已重新調整方向，以便將重點放在基礎研究進展上，特別是那些與結核病控制和最終消除有關的研究進展。已經成立了一個杰出的國際編輯委員會，歡迎在免疫學、免疫遺傳學、病原學、微生物學、微生物生理學、發病機理、病理學、分子流行病學、診斷、疫苗研制、藥物研制和耐藥性等領域作出貢獻。我們的目標是結核病將發表杰出的同行評議的與結核病有關的生物醫學研究。

The resurgence of interest in tuberculosis (TB) has accelerated the pace of TB research. Tuberculosis has been reoriented to allow focus on basic research advances, particularly those with relevance to TB control and eventual elimination. An outstanding international Editorial Board has been assembled and welcomes contributions in the areas of immunology,immunogenetics, pathogenetics, microbiology, microbial physiology, pathogenesis, pathology, molecular epidemiology, diagnostic, vaccine development, drug development and drug resistance. Our intent is that Tuberculosis will publish outstanding peer-reviewed biomedical research relevant to tuberculosis.
