呼吸醫學旨在成為與呼吸疾病領域的醫生有關的新信息的國際論壇。出版高質量、原創、呼吸系統疾病的生理學、病理學、免疫學、遺傳學和流行病學以及治療干預方面的論文。針對高等教育和繼續醫學教育課程的社論和專題評論是該雜志的特色。呼吸醫學的摘要/索引依據：當前內容/生命科學/臨床實踐、指標醫學、摘錄醫學引文指數和當前生物科學意識。

Respiratory Medicine aims to be the international forum for new information of relevance to the physician working in the field of respiratory disease. It publishes high quality, original, papers on the physiology, pathology, immunology, genetics and epidemiology of respiratory disease and therapeutic interventions. Editorials and Topical Reviews geared towards both higher training and continuous medical education courses are a feature of the journal. Respiratory Medicine is abstracted/indexed by: Current Contents/Life Sciences/Clinical Practice, Index Medicus, Excerpta Medica Science Citation Index and Current Awareness in Biological Sciences.
