《光學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)》（原名《光學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)》）作為國際光學(xué)雜志，于1953年（激光器問世前幾年）創(chuàng)辦。從那時(shí)起，光學(xué)研究發(fā)生了巨大的變化，探索了新的研究領(lǐng)域，采用了不同的技術(shù)，應(yīng)用范圍大大擴(kuò)大。期刊繼續(xù)反映這些進(jìn)展，作為其穩(wěn)步擴(kuò)大的范圍的一部分。《現(xiàn)代光學(xué)雜志》的宗旨是在全球范圍內(nèi)出版教育機(jī)構(gòu)、政府機(jī)構(gòu)和工業(yè)研發(fā)團(tuán)體對光學(xué)知識的原創(chuàng)和及時(shí)貢獻(xiàn)。涵蓋了經(jīng)典光學(xué)和量子光學(xué)的整個(gè)領(lǐng)域。論文可能涉及現(xiàn)代光學(xué)基礎(chǔ)的應(yīng)用，同時(shí)考慮到當(dāng)代研究的實(shí)驗(yàn)和理論方面。除了常規(guī)論文外，還有專題和教程評論，以及重點(diǎn)領(lǐng)域的特殊問題。所有提交的手稿都要經(jīng)過編輯的初步評估，如果認(rèn)為適合進(jìn)一步考慮，還要經(jīng)過獨(dú)立的匿名專家評審。一般主題包括：?光學(xué)和光子材料（包括超材料）?等離子體和納米光子學(xué)?量子光學(xué)（包括量子信息）?光學(xué)儀器和技術(shù)（包括探測器、計(jì)量、傳感器、激光器）?相干、傳播、極化和操縱（經(jīng)典光學(xué)）?散射和全息照相（衍射光學(xué)）?光纖和光通信（包括集成光學(xué)、放大器）?視覺科學(xué)和應(yīng)用?醫(yī)學(xué)和生物醫(yī)學(xué)光學(xué)?非線性和超快光學(xué)（包括諧波產(chǎn)生、多光子光譜學(xué)）?成像和圖像處理

The journal (under its former title Optica Acta) was founded in 1953 - some years before the advent of the laser - as an international journal of optics. Since then optical research has changed greatly; fresh areas of inquiry have been explored, different techniques have been employed and the range of application has greatly increased. The journal has continued to reflect these advances as part of its steadily widening scope. Journal of Modern Optics aims to publish original and timely contributions to optical knowledge from educational institutions, government establishments and industrial R&D groups world-wide. The whole field of classical and quantum optics is covered. Papers may deal with the applications of fundamentals of modern optics, considering both experimental and theoretical aspects of contemporary research. In addition to regular papers, there are topical and tutorial reviews, and special issues on highlighted areas. All manuscript submissions are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. General topics covered include: ? Optical and photonic materials (inc. metamaterials) ? Plasmonics and nanophotonics ? Quantum optics (inc. quantum information) ? Optical instrumentation and technology (inc. detectors, metrology, sensors, lasers) ? Coherence, propagation, polarization and manipulation (classical optics) ?
