當代生命科學的許多研究致力于分子尺度上對生物過程的理解,特別是細胞效應(yīng)因子(包括蛋白質(zhì))水平的動態(tài)變化、修飾和相互作用。分子生物科學前沿為基礎(chǔ)研究和應(yīng)用研究提供了一個國際出版平臺;我們鼓勵在生物學的成熟和新興領(lǐng)域做出貢獻。為此,該雜志借鑒了結(jié)構(gòu)生物學、酶學、生物化學和生物物理學等經(jīng)驗學科,利用了技術(shù)進步,使代謝組學和蛋白質(zhì)組學測量能夠大規(guī)模并行進行,并開發(fā)了強大和創(chuàng)新的計算生物學策略。我們還認識到醫(yī)學和技術(shù)的影響,歡迎在分子遺傳學、分子診斷和治療學以及納米技術(shù)方面的研究。除了有趣的新發(fā)現(xiàn)、新技術(shù)和新應(yīng)用,分子生物科學前沿還將考慮新的可測試假設(shè),以激發(fā)不同的觀點和促進科學對話。有機硅、體外和體內(nèi)方法的整合將有益于生命科學各個領(lǐng)域的努力。我們的最終目標是全面闡明調(diào)控蛋白質(zhì)、核酸、碳水化合物、脂類和小代謝產(chǎn)物的分子機制。

Much of contemporary investigation in the life sciences is devoted to the molecular-scale understanding of biological processes — in particular, dynamic alterations in the levels, modifications, and interactions of cellular effectors, including proteins. Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences offers an international publication platform for basic as well as applied research; we encourage contributions spanning both established and emerging areas of biology.To this end, the journal draws from empirical disciplines such as structural biology, enzymology, biochemistry, and biophysics, capitalizing as well on the technological advancements that have enabled metabolomics and proteomics measurements in massively parallel throughput, and the development of robust and innovative computational biology strategies. We also recognize influences from medicine and technology, welcoming studies in molecular genetics, molecular diagnostics and therapeutics, and nanotechnology.In addition to interesting new findings, techniques, and applications, Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences will consider new testable hypotheses to inspire different perspectives and stimulate scientific dialogue. The integration of in silico, in vitro, and in vivo approaches will benefit endeavors across all domains of the life sciences.Our ultimate objective is the comprehensive illustration of the molecular mechanisms regulating proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, lipids, and small metabolites in organisms across all branches of life.
