《細(xì)胞生物化學(xué)雜志》發(fā)表了原始研究的描述，其中復(fù)雜的細(xì)胞、致病、臨床或動物模型系統(tǒng)通過生化、分子、遺傳學(xué)、表觀遺傳學(xué)或定量超微結(jié)構(gòu)方法進(jìn)行研究。鼓勵提交報(bào)告基因組學(xué)、蛋白質(zhì)組學(xué)、生物信息學(xué)和系統(tǒng)生物學(xué)方法的論文，以便在細(xì)胞環(huán)境中識別和表征生物控制的參數(shù)。所涉及的領(lǐng)域包括但不限于影響結(jié)構(gòu)、細(xì)胞周期和生長控制、結(jié)構(gòu)-功能關(guān)系、細(xì)胞命運(yùn)和譜系承諾或細(xì)胞、病毒或超分子結(jié)構(gòu)中的裝配機(jī)制的條件、試劑、調(diào)控網(wǎng)絡(luò)或分化狀態(tài)，以及介導(dǎo)轉(zhuǎn)錄的信號機(jī)制。這個范圍擴(kuò)展到細(xì)胞結(jié)構(gòu)和功能;細(xì)胞器組裝;細(xì)胞組織、繁殖或分化的調(diào)節(jié);核酸和調(diào)節(jié)蛋白在細(xì)胞核和細(xì)胞質(zhì)內(nèi)的結(jié)構(gòu)組織和分隔;核內(nèi)販運(yùn)、基因表達(dá)調(diào)控機(jī)制的放置和組裝的動力學(xué);組織的發(fā)育、組織或重塑;以及干細(xì)胞生物學(xué)和再生醫(yī)學(xué)。

The Journal of Cellular Biochemistry publishes descriptions of original research in which complex cellular, pathogenic, clinical, or animal model systems are studied by biochemical, molecular, genetic, epigenetic or quantitative ultrastructural approaches. Submission of papers reporting genomic, proteomic, bioinformatics and systems biology approaches to identify and characterize parameters of biological control in a cellular context are encouraged. The areas covered include, but are not restricted to, conditions, agents, regulatory networks, or differentiation states that influence structure, cell cycle & growth control, structure-function relationships, cell fate and lineage commitment or assembly mechanisms in cells, viruses, or supramolecular constructs, and signaling mechanisms mediating transcription. This scope extends to cell structure and function; organelle assembly; regulation of cell organization, reproduction or differentiation; the architectural organization and compartmentalization of nucleic acids and regulatory proteins within the nucleus and cytoplasm; the dynamics of intranuclear trafficking, placement and assembly of regulatory machinery for gene expression; the development, organization or remodeling of tissues; and to stem cell biology and regenerative medicine.
