神經化學研究致力于神經系統結構和功能研究中使用神經化學方法的研究的快速出版。該雜志發表了關于實驗和臨床研究結果的原始報告，對神經科學中重要問題領域的有洞察力的評論，對方法學或解釋性質的簡要評論，以及由主要科學家進行的研究總結，而這些科學家的著作并不容易用英語獲得。

Neurochemical Research is devoted to the rapid publication of studies that use neurochemical methodology in research on nervous system structure and function. The journal publishes original reports of experimental and clinical research results perceptive reviews of significant problem areas in the neurosciences brief comments of a methodological or interpretive nature and research summaries conducted by leading scientists whose works are not readily available in English.
